Who doesn’t like to play Bingo? The Grand World of Books offers a Book Bingo challenge. Just 5 books, 4 if you use the free space, and you’ll be yelling out BINGO in no time!
I’m going for the last column with:
The cover is your favorite color – The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante. Yes, it’s blue. Besides she’s a great writer.
A banned book – Lady Chatterly’s Lover by D. H. Lawrence. Read at least one every year – rebellious that way.
The last book in a series or trilogy – The Golden Age by Jane Smiley. Knocking all three off my TBR shelves.
A book that was translated to English – A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.
A debut novel – Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
So there they are. 7 glorious book challenges for 2017 and hours of blissful reading. I did multi-purpose some of the books – slotting them into more than one challenge sometimes. My Goodreads challenge is set at 52 this year. I’ve got knitting and crochet challenges on tap for the year too and a girl’s got to sleep sometime. And work, that always gets in the way. But it does pay for my incessant book and yarn habits all while letting me see the world. Blessed and grateful.
